1.4.6 Data Consumer

The Data Consumer can only access data shared with them by the workspace Owner or a Data Analyst. This role is usually a domain expert in the enterprise, who uses the authorized datasets to design data access scenarios. Data Consumers use the Data Catalog module (the default module) to design data access on no-code pages. After selecting a workspace from the side menu, they can start working.

Main features:

1. Data discovery
   1. Search (keyword search across all publicly searchable data in the system)
   2. View authorized datasets and their metadata
2. Data access
   1. Configure data services (requires permission from the workspace Owner)
   2. Generate a Personal Access Token for data sharing (requires permission from the Admin)
   3. View other data sharing methods (e.g. Canner Protocol / RESTful API)
   4. Data policy decryption (requires permission from the Admin)
   5. Tableau data access design (switch to the Data Push module)
3. Download CSV files (requires permission from the workspace Owner)
