2.6.2 Personal Access Token Authorization

A Personal Access Token replaces password authentication with a more secure method when third-party applications retrieve data, and it also lets the system track how data is used.

When you set up data sharing and data services for third-party applications in Canner Enterprise, you need to generate a Personal Access Token that the third-party application uses to authenticate when requesting data.

note

For the third-party BI tool Tableau, Canner Enterprise also provides a Data Push feature. With Data Push, Canner Enterprise pushes data to Tableau rather than Tableau requesting data, so you configure a Credential instead of a token.
